This existing house in Coral Gables was long-overdue for repositioning into the 21st Century (having been perpetually locked in the 1990’s with no historic value). Full interior remodel, with additional space captured to expand the footprint and unlock the flow of the interior spatial sequence. The exteriors were fully “stripped and scraped” of their existing faux ornament to implement a fresh, contemporary Tropical Modern feel that is more apt for Miami. Extensive site, entry stairs, terrace and pool retrofit better tied the new interiors to its exterior environment.
